Want to build a DIY Boat lift need HELP!!!

Does anyone know of a site that has plans for an aluminum Boat lift. I would like to build one myself as they are a little $$$ other wise.<br />If not I would like to build a temp lift out of wood with a hand crank on shore to pull the boat out of the water. I have a small 14' fiberglass boat with a 40HP motor so does not need to be beefy.<br /><br />Any tips or direction would be greatly appreciated.<br /> :) <br />Boatca

Have not seen any plans on the web.<br /><br />If you see a model in your area that you like, especially one out of the water, I would suggest a tape measure and sketchpad.<br /><br />You should be able to build something close enough, provided you know how to weld aluminum.<br /><br />Good luck.

Thanks for the Web sites but have been there... can't find a good site with any plans.<br />Neighbor has a great low profile Aluminum going to go over and have a chat...<br />Measure and order the Square tubing and then get someone to weld it up for me.<br /><br />thanks again... for the tips<br /><br />boatca :D
