Wanna fish for leoppard sharks...

I wanna fish for leoppard or sand shark from the beach. I have a 7' Ugly Stik with a Quantum Optix 60 reel, 80# mono and a 60# coated wire halibut rig with 9/0 & 10/0 hooks. I am considering fishin first for whatever bait fish are in the area and rigging that catch, or just threading on a piece of bloody steak. Any suggestions?

Just bought a Sturdy Stik Bigwater rod for a bit of extra power. Same spinning reel, etc.

I have some blood baits for catfish...wonder if I thread on several of those with the fish or steak, or just scatter them about as chum, if they'd be effective. (not as good as fresh blood obviously) They might take too long to dissolve and travel on the water for my patience to last, I dunno.

Where will you be fishing? That may make a difference. I've caught hundreds of leopard sharks...in the surf, in bays, and even with a bow and arrow.
