Where have all the small fiberglass fishing skiff builders gone. I noticed on the micro skiff website this question and did a little reseach myself and found the same answer, not many left. I am in the market for a small glass fishing skiff in the 14 to 15 foot range. Seems like most of them have folded up and gone home. I cant find a new fast craft for sale maybe Im looking for the wrong manufacture and Wambaw boats does not seem to be in business anymore either. Only one I see left is river hawk and high tide which now call them selves mi tide who makes the bug buster. Ive been running tinnys for years and found myself trying to stop leaks around cracked welds and rivets with no way to weld aluminum. Ive decided to jump ship and get into a more stable glass boat with a little better ride and easy to repair or modify. Seems I cant leave well enough alone and am always changing something to better fit what I use the boat for. I can do glass work pretty well and with age a softer ride will be nice. Any one know of any more small glass skiff builders I can look at before purchase ?
