Walleye Trolling?

What are your favorite lures to troll for walleye? Any tips or suggestions for a newbie? Thanks!!!

I fish lake ontario. I have always used prism colors of thundersticks. run your lures two hundred feet back off planer boards if possible. You can use pinch weights to adjust the depth of your lure

Rockchalk, sorry for the late response but here's my 2 cents. Depending on water conditions: cold water=lindy rig with live bait, warmer water=crank bait or live bait on a jig, but color/ clarity of water is important here. Darker water needs a brighter bait, clear water needs a more colorful bait. Keep in mind that in clear water, everything sparkles so using something with a color not common in the water works better. I prefer "Walley Diver" brand lures.
