FYI I piacked up this sheet at the local marina on Lesser Slave Lake. I thought it might be interesting to see how it compares with wally growth in other areas. Check out the sheet (now if I can only figure out how to post the pic)<br /><br /> tinypic.com

In the central US, like Ks, Ne, Co., the growth is about 5"/year in the first 3 years, the point at which a male will spawn, about 4 years for Females at 18-20".<br />Less than 20% of 3 year old Walleye will survive due to mortality of many reasons. Only 5% of 4 year olds will survive to the 5th season which is "about" the expected life-span (5-6yrs) ave.<br />Faster growing seasons, but shorter life-span as a result. Higher water temps affect this as well, compared to Canadian waters.
