Hi Im new to this forum. I bought my boat last year and have done some work to it. (Trying to bring it into the 21st century) I put a new windshield on it and new hand rails upfront are on the way. my qestion is should I go for the tower? I really like the look of them, but Im not that good of a boarder yet, not sher if its worth it.

Re: Wake Boat

If you have the money and will use it why not? They make a differance when boarding. I got mine from DIYwake.com, I also just brought my boat into the 21st century.

Re: Wake Boat

I read Your rebuild I really like what you did thats the plan for my boat. Its a good running and handling boat so no need to replace it. Thanks for the reply.

Re: Wake Boat

I agree with solar7647...
His help a while back, as well as a few others, helped me make the final decision on the purchase of mine. I also went with the DIY WAKE, fully loaded tower that was delivered to my house for $1,379. I think you can get the tower alone for around $700. I also have an older boat I spent a bunch of time fixing up last winter, this spring. I for one was very happy with my decision, but that one will be up to you.
GOOD LUCK!

Get the tower.
The tower will make it much easier. People don't learn to board to a certain ability then get a tower. The tower is helpful at all ability levels, especially beginner since it helps you get up on the board faster and easier.

Can not go wrong with the tower. A friend of mine has a boat with out a tower and he always wants to be pulled behind ours. Leaves his wife in their boat and jumps aboard ours for a spin or two.

Re: Wake Boat

The tower makes starts a bit easier and it's better if you are doing air tricks. The biggest benefit of the tower is for storage on racks of your gear. The other benefit of a tower is that the boat and wake are instantly better to all 10 year olds.
The biggest risk in getting a tower is that it won't fit in a garage when it is folded. The next risk is that it will squeak and rattle all the time.

Re: Wake Boat

I wakeboarded, kneeboarded and wakeskated the last three years without a tower. This is my first year with one and will never NOT have one again. If the tower is out of the price range they do have the ski poles.
