Now for the hard questions(just joking) Ok I istall the lastest level VRO OMC makes it's a 500 something part # anyway it come with a Purple wire to that is to suppose to sound the alarm horn when engine is started and then goes off to let you know the VRO is working... good idea ... Ok now here the deal<br />it don't work... I have a 1990 Johnson.. This<br />year did not have the purple wire in the Engine harness but my control harness had it. I tapped into the control harness and connected the purple wire (simple so far) started the engine at home (water muff) and the horn went off and then the sound slowly got lower and went away.. (cool) problem is It has never done it again. Ok I check the alarm horn by grounding out the Heat sensor wire and the horn was find.. Anyone know how this system is suppose to work or how to check it...
