I believe I get the no oil horn intermittently on my outboard when I start up for the first 30 sec at idle. It is worse when the gas tank is not full. It smokes like it is getting plenty of oil (I also mix 100:1 in the gas tank). Is the pump going bad or is the sensor screwed up? Would I be better off converting to mixed gas instead of oil injection?

Since you are already mixing oil in your fuel, it would be no inconvenience to just bypass the oil side of that pump.To do this, mix your fuel at 50to 1 and let the engine run a while to get that mix into the float bowls. Then just unplug the circuit board of the VRO pump and unplg and cap the oil line and you are good to go.
