I ran her this weekend and got the no oil light and steady horn.
Not sure if the Vro is bad but I would feel better if I could just mix my own.
Any tips on the conversion? Thanks Pat.:)

Conversion is simple. Cap the oil line at the OMS pump, disconnect the warning sensors in the oil tank and the no oil sensor at the OMS pump, and start premixing.

Do you want to further test the OMS pump? You could have a bad oil line, or one with an air bubble in it. To further test the OMS Pump, you should hook up a tank of premix, and then disconnect the oil line at the pump and prime it until there are no bubbles. Now reconnect it and pump the primer once more. Run the premix and see if the oil level falls in the tank. If so, the OMS may be good.

Chris thanks for the input but I have a question regarding the "watch to see if the oil levels fall in the tank". I have a 2 gallon Rez...So it would take a while to notice any change at Idle on land. I would be chewing my nails while waiting to see a change in oil level and or here the screeching sound of my motor locking up. Any help?

Ok Scratch the above as I just reread the above.:D

"Run the premix and see if the oil level falls in the tank. If so, the OMS may be ok."

if the OMS, is ok, what you are doing, is the same thing that was done when the engine was broken in.

OK, Fill the oil tank to the top. Now run 6 gal of premix thru the motor. Refill the oil tank. if it takes 16oz, you are OK. If it doesn't take any oil, you have further problems. Also the no oil alarm should shut off.

BTW - Have you checked the signal wire to see if it rubbed the insulation off, shorting the signal and sounding the alarm?
