VRO Fuel Pump Rebuild

Have an 86' J115TLCO The VRO pump is bad anybody know a part number for a kit for this thing and are they common?? Like can I grab one at west marine or should I get it on line

West marine has a good stock or they can order it for you. Most people I know have done away with the vro in favor of mixing their own gas/oil and converted to pulse pumps.

Rebuilding pumps is for the 1998 and later pumps that have the replaceable fittings on them that are held down with oval steel retainers and 2 Torx screws. Older pumps can have the fuel and air motor diaphragms replaced using the later parts, but other internal parts are different. Your dealer can order the parts as they are listed in their annual Johnson-Evinrude Parts and Accessory Catalog.
