VP SX-M Carrier Bearing Seal - New Seal Missing Second Spring/Lip

Hello.

Just want to make sure that VP changed the design for sure on this seal before I install it. Also I'm assuming I should install it where the flat side is out with the new design like in picture labeled "1"?

It could be the seal is no longer made and this is one which comes closest. I did find a couple of the old style available and might be new old stock. At VP site it still shows original

MarinePartsSource where I ordered from is showing that this is an OEM replacement (I admittedly didn't realize the change in number when ordering and the difference in the picture). Strange that VPShop doesn't show this though. I guess I'll just run it.
