So my old exhaust bellows were bad; the holes were on the sides of the bellows.
A lot of aftermarket bellows all show the holes on the sides. (Maybe just for pictures?)
Reading the VP service manual, it says to orient the bellows so the holes are up and down...oops, too late. Missed that. But I did get a lot of sealant on there, and have little intention of playing with that gooey crap for another season.
So what gives?
I put on my new bellows the same way as the old ones came off: holes to the sides. And there are only 4 or 5 small holes, not the big gaping holes on every ring shown on the aftermarket ones.
If my hole orientation is wrong, should I make a few small holes on the bottom of some of the rings?
Thanks!
