ok, I've put in a lift motor with an aftermarket 2 wire motor in the boat. Its a 1985 capri with the aq125. When I bought the boat didn't have one, anyways I Verified the motor worked both ways , the original wiring and relay box was still there. Hooked it up and nothing. Both relays where toast from water. Replaced those and I can only get the outdrive to go up not down , also switched the wires on the up down switch to elimate that prob. I can't figure out what's going on . When I depress the limit switch on the top of the relay box my red light by the tilt switch goes out so that tells me thats good. Anyone have an idea what may be happening. Even switched relays to see. No change only up. Also verified the wire running from the down side of the switch is sending power to the relay. I'm frustrated and at a loss.
