Volvo water pump leaking

Just replaced the impeller in a volvo 2001 4.3 gi. Tested fine with ears.....went out to river and she leaks...actually spray's a mist when the engine is under a load (15 mph and above).....and above 2000rpm......However when you disengage the drive and rev it up no leak's at all....

Tried to solve my own problem.......with a new o ring and some Permatex gasket slop...i will post the result's.......

I have a 1993 volvo Penta 2.3 liter that has the same leaking issue you seemed to have... leaks under load. I can't visually see where the leak is occuring - seems to be behind the sea-water pump. But of course the drips are landing on belts and moving parts and spraying a mist. any advice?
