is there a service kit that has bearings and seals together? drive ser#4202025929 needs a propshaft as well. wobbles .006 and seal area chewed into.

Nope, no kit that includes bearings. There is a seal kit, then just order the seperate bearings and the shaft.<br />Don't forget, you will need to check and adjust the gear pattern, backlash and rolling torque on the lower after replacing the shaft.<br />And don't even THINK about taking it apart until after reading the manual on doing the lower so you know what you are going to need.

thats my next question.. what service manual do i need for this model.. i dont know whatyear this unit is or the engine, although ive replaced that with a 4 bolt 5.7l gs vortec. engine serial was.. 4012043233 product-3869058 249 glastron gs. is plastigage good for lashing? for reference? thats how i set some gears. seems to work good. but im not sure if its good in marine stuff though?

Your drive SN should be 4202025928 and it's a SX-M drive with a 1.51:1 gear ratio.<br /><br />Your original engine was a 5.7GS PEFS. Which is a carbed EF model.<br /><br />For your drive work, you need Volvo service manual #7743008.<br /><br />No, plastigage is not good for "Lashing" an SX drive. Check with your local Volvo dealer, they can get you the manual. They cost around 20 bucks as I recall. I really don't do prices, I just fix em.

yeah. i knew it was a 1.51 thanks for the book info. and yep its a two barrel. does ef stand for electric fuel pump? seems on how many few moving parts that are in these drives, thier a real bear!!
