Hey guys. I took the boat out for the first time yesterday and noticed a lot of water in the bilge. I did not have the drive off for winterization due to having the clutch serviced at the end of last year. Mistake. I did some checking here and found a puncture/tear in the u joint bellows. Took off the lower unit and found a lot of water in the same bellows. My plan is to replace the bellows, u joints, o rings. From looking at it, the water didnt get past the drive shaft o rings but in order to be in the bilge, it would have to had, right? Should I plan on replacing the gimble bearing as well? Anything thing else you would recommend? After replacing the gimble, would the drive unit have to be aligned? Just thinking of tools I have to buy. Thanks again. Oh yeah, the boat is a 2002 Four Winns 210 Horizon with 5.7L Volvo Penta and SX-m outdrive.

Yes, replace the gimbal bearing.

You will need to use the alignment bar to align the new gimbal bearing to the coupler, and also to verify the engine is still in alignment.

Thanks Don. I was going to order the parts thru I boats. Can I get the alignment bar here too?

Thanks again. I'll be working on the rest of the disassembly tonight. Does it makes sense that this would result in water in the bilge?
