I have successfully removed the sx drive from my Glastron 2003 boat with no problems, thanks to all the posts i had read. Before reinstalling i would just want to check do i need to replace the oring seal around the water intake, should i change the 2 oring seals on the main shaft and should i put any sealant on the machined faces.

Thanks

No need for any sealant.
As far as replacing oring........ YES, replace them.
Orings that are used for gaskets should be treated as paper gaskets and get replaced after use.
Cheap insurance for a water leak into your drive or cooling system.

replace all three o-rings (2 on main shaft) and one around the water intake on the housing ,lube the splines, oil the oil rings on the shaft, dont lube where the o-rings go though, put drive into gear so you can rotate the prop slightly to get the splines to line up, slowly push drive in.

i BELEIVE you dont need to use an engine alignment tool to re-install as long as you didn't move the engine at all, which most of us dont....i could be wrong though, someone like don could re-inforce or correct me on that.

You should check your alignment whenever you remove the drive.
