volvo sx- dp transom assy. same?

In the process of converting from king Cobra to Volvo DP-S. My entire gimbal housing was shot so I was looking for the best way to get something on their to bolt the volvo to. Ebasic sells new volvo sx transom assembly's for $1200. Will an SX transom assy accept a DP drive?

wow<br /> here is where we get into an alphabet soup.<br /> yes some of the DP-sx drive fit and some of the swedish built DP's do not.<br /> DonS posted a chart some time ago.<br />the SX,XDP and DPX drive TSK's interchange mostly.<br /> if DonS does not reply post again. he has better intell and memory than me.

While the DP-S drive will fit on an SX transom shield, I won't even venture a guess as to "IF" the OMC Ford exhaust Y will fit the SX transom shield, or IF the Power steering cylinder actually will bolt up, or if the inner transom shield is exactly the same as the SX inner shield.<br />If you need a drive and the transom shield, I think you are making a big mistake of sticking with the Ford that nothing else fits.<br />You need a total repower to Volvo, not just a piece at a time.

2 minutes between posts and even opened a new browser to see if the posts showed up.... Nothing, then after about 10 minutes they all show up. At 2 min. inervals with the 12 min between the 14's nd the 16.<br />No wonder there are so many double posts. Nothing works to see if it posted or not.

do like me, ive got the cobra but its still in great shape. im getting one piece at a time but waiting till i have it all to go ahead with it. like don said, its goin to be hard to get everything to fit together. need to do a complete swap. its expensive but its the only way. if your in love with the hull best thing is to find a hurricane boat that is salvagable, with the stuff you need.
