volvo shift cover

I have a volvo 131a with a sp cd drive. I think it is a 290 drive. I lost the shift cover last weekend. Will running the boat without hurt it? Will a cover from a 280 or 290 fit?

Thank you. Vaction starts Staurday, and we would have been disappoitned not have the boat. I have found several for the 280-290 at a fair price.

Woa, I misread your first post. The 280-290 cover will not fit your SP drive.

Sorry about that. :redface:

But you can still run without it for a while.

OK. I thought the sd cd and the 290 were the same drive, with maybe a different trim system. Could you get a part #? I have looked through my manuel,and the stuff I have downloaded. Your time and effort and greatly appriectiated!
