I have an interesting problem with my Volvo Penta trim operation. When the boat is "cold" or during the first 30 minutes of operation, all is fine. Once things are warmed up, only the down operation works. The up creates no "clicks", no motor operation, or anything. After dragging the boat out of the water with the lower unit down and after the engine cools, the lift works again.....ideas?

I have had the same problem.
There is a "fuse," which doesn't look look a fuse, mounted generally either on top of your boats motor or on the port side. Follow your main power cable (red wire) off your stern drive trim motor. You should find a "junction" (little plastic gizmo) where the red wire from stern drive motor attaches (probably a 10 mm nut). You should see another red wire attached to the other post at this junction. This wire goes to your main (+ positive) power distribution bar/panel.
The little plastic gizmo where the two red wires meet is a fuse. They crap out frequently. I keep a half dozen on my boat all the times. Takes less than 5 minutes to install a new fuse.
