Hey there, I'm replacing the Trim sender on the 2000 Volvo Penta SX with the 5.0GL. While pulling it out, the old the wires were so brittle they broke off. What I'm looking for is if someone could tell me what wires go were in the plug. I have a 3wire plug with spots A,B,C and I know the white goes in the B. I have a black with brown stripe and a solid black. which goes were? The old sender had two blacks so it's kind of a pain to tell which went were anyhow. Does someone out there have a diagram???Does it matter? Will it just be bass ackwards if I hook it up that way? Please help if you can! Thanks, JP

From what I can tell it probably won't matter because I think the other end only has the 2 wires in the a and c positions?

Anyway...
a = black (ribbed)
b = white
c = black (smooth)

That's what I figured. It does only have two on the other end. I just didn't want to cause any of that pretty blue smoke that we've all caused at one time or another. LOL Peace! Thanks! JP
