i have a 1988 IMPERIAL with a 305 VP. the problem i have is the trim motor works put does not stay up. goes up and down fine but drops while running and just dropped when i took it out of the water. no fluid visible but have just taken the pump out to replace or repair. part tag shows PRESTOLITE 417. is this a repairable part or do i need to replace. any help would be great, thanks
