volvo penta sx outdrive wear plates

I have the new wear plates for my'98 VP SX outdrive, but I can't see taking the casing apart to install them. Can I get away with using epoxy?

No, no epoxy. They may need shimmed, and you have to have something to hold the shims in place also. Besides, the epoxy probably wouldn't hold very long.
