Does any one on there have a service manual for a 2006 5.7 efi volvo penta or know where I can download one? I have a complete intake, wiring ecm etc that I brought from someone which I thought was a mercruiser. I am trying to find where they hide the knock module.
Cheers

Volvo doesn't use a knock module. They have 2 knock sensors, but no stand alone module. If you are truing to use a 2006 Volvo intake and wiring harness, you can NOT use a Mercruiser Thunderbolt V distributor which does have a knock module

I do not have the manual you are looking for but I bought a manual for my volvo outdrive and engine from my local dealer at a fairly reasonable price I thought. Both of the manuals from volvo were only about $20 each and I think they are worth every penny. If no one can help you find a manual here maybe try getting a paper copy from volvo. My .02

Re: Volvo Penta service manual

Thanks Don S
Ok on 2 knock sensors. Where is the second one located. I know the first is in front of the starter. The distributor looks the same as the mercruiser.
The reason for all the questions is that I have brought one from a guy in Canada and is missing a few bits like thew Ign module, coil and IAC. Now does Volvo use a seperate IAC module, like mercruiser, for that or is it located in the throttle body?
