Took my boat out for its first summer outing. Did not check the steering fluid level and turned out it was dry and eventually the steering system overheated and started smoking bad. Hope its not ruined. I did not run the engine further and had someone tow me in. Hopefully, all I have to do is add some fluid. The manual for the 2000 5.0Gi Volvo Penta says use Durablend power steering fluid. What is the substitute for Volvo name brand? Is it just Dextron III? Thanks
