new to forum so thanks to any replies ahead of time.
I need a IAC for my 2006 5.0gxi-e volvo penta. Part from marine dealer $299, ebay or amazon $75. I usually don't see this much difference in price, so i makes me wonder about quality. Anyone suggestions on which to buy?

Ebay and Amazon is a crap shoot, can get real OEM parts and other not so much. I've bought from those guys and got good parts, but also have gotten aftermarket. The good thing is if you can prove their aftermarket you can be refunded.

The marine dealer is putting on the marine price. Some parts unique to boats - that's justified. Your IAC is a common automotive part. Nothing marine about it at all. I typically use Rock Auto for parts like this.

NAPA also has them. The one used on Fords will work on some Mercruisers. Take it off and go to a NAPA store they might be able to match it up.

agreed. Mercruiser uses a Ford IAC (2-wires) or the GM IAC (4-wires) and Volvo Penta uses a GM IAC (4 wires)

look up GM 17113598

What site are you using to look up part #s and find parts?
