Volvo Penta fuel lifter pump

bought lifter pump for VP 2002 engine. Do I need to lube the O Ring at the base where it joins the engine ?

Always lub o-rings

With silicone or just marine grease ?

A dab of grease, or oil is all that needed. However grease will hold it in place
