Does anyone know of the part number to a special tool that was issued to remove the power steering hoses that are located on the outdrive? There is double hoses on the left and right of the outdrive and one end goes to the rams (no problem removing) and the other ends go to a coupler that is accessible from outside the boat but a very tight fit. Supposedly there was a recall some time ago and within that recall there was a reference to this tool. All it is is a split deep socket with a handle but I figure it might be faster to buy the correct tool rather than make one.

Best regards,

I have the service manual and the service bulletin. The bulletin did show a picture of a socket, but there was no number anywhere in the bulletin for it. Nothing at all it the service manual.

The easiest way to remove them is to remove the 2 allen head screws and pull the whole block with all four lines attached.
