Just bougth this 86 bayliner w/twin volvo penta 225D engines.Seller said boat was water ready. I trusted him to check oil in engines, before we ran them at his house. First mistake, carried boat to water & the port engine over heated, around 250 deg. turned engine off & went home. Sea water pump was bad so i replaced it. Fixed pump but now i have water in the oil. not a lot, but oil is milky. Before i changed the oil i noticed the engine was about 2 quarts low.On this particular engine should i start anywhere other than head gaskets? Any help appreciated!

Pops,
I hate to be the guy that tells you but I have a feeling if it has only a bad head gasket you got off very cheap. Here in Colorado if we dont winterize the boat correctly it will crack the heads for sure and sometimes the block. Did you have a good freeze this year?
