Volvo Penta aq131a

I have a 18 ft. excel by well craft with a volvo penta aq131a i dont care to much for the cooling system i was wondering if they make a coverter to change it from having the heat exchanger.

Or are they any other motor i could drop in the boat? would any 6 cylinder go in or a another 4 cylinder like a mercrueser or something.

any help would be very appreciated.

There is no practical way of changing engines or cooling systems. All of the Volvo Penta four cylinder motors of that era were closed cooling.

What cooling issues do you have with you current engine? Perhaps we can help you get it working properly.
