Volvo Penta AQ120B - Any good? Are there any known issues?
I currently run an outboard merc 2 smoker and have had GM powered inline and V6's as well. I found a pretty good deal on an 18 ft bayliner with this motor/out drive.

VP system is a good one, but it may be underpowered at only 120 ponies. If you can live with that type of power, it may be worth taking a closer look at. What condition is the floor, stringers and transom?? That would be something I would definitely check out. Boats of that vintage may have some rott issues.
