Boat ran great 2 months ago, came home sat, now it won't start, turns over has spark but just backfires, changed plugs, wires, and dist cap. still no start just backfire
any suggestions would help.
The timing belt would be the first thing I would be looking at. All it has to do is jump one tooth on the belt on one pulley and everything is off.
Just get it up on #1 TDC on the compresion stroke and see if the cam marks line up and the rotor is lined up with the distributor body mark (or at least real close too it)
