Volvo Penta 5.7GSi won't start

I have a Volvo Penta 5.7Gsi with low usage, and it has been stored four almost a year. I went to start it back up and I can hear the it spinning up, but the engine never cranks. Think it is the starter, but I was wonder if anyone had a suggestion to troubleshoot it further to make sure? Thanks.

Ayuh,....

1st Off,... we have a terminology issue here,....

A Starter can Spin, but not Crank the motor over,....
A motor can be cranking over, but not Fire,...
A motor can fire, but not Run.....

So,.... What have You got going on,..??
Is Just the Starter Spinning,..??
Is the starter Cranking the motor over, but not Firing,..??

If it's just the Starter Spinning,+ Not cranking the motor over,.... Change out the Starter....
If the starter Is cranking the motor over, but it's Not firing,...
You'll have to decide whether it's missing Fuel, or Fire,.....
