Volvo Penta 5.7 GI-FF Quits suddenly then will run only at idle

Engine runs at 3300 for five minutes or so, then quits as if key turned off. It then restarts but will run only at idle, and quits now and then at idle. Next day does the same.

Runs 5 min @ 3300 then quits as if key turned off. Restarts but only runs at idle. No water in fuel, new pickup tube and antisiphon valve, no pump whine.

Delay due to computer crash.

The problem with the engine turned out to be crud in anti-siphon valve. Running fine now, but will look for an in-tank pickup with good screen.

I would look to find ways to keep the fuel cleaner. Additives (Blue marine Stabil). But fuel at a cleaner location. Use old fuel up.
