Yesterday I posted that all of a sudden the boat wasn't starting after a big rain storm. It ran perfectly last weekend, and started with no problem on Monday. I recieved a few sugestions... To make sure the distributor cap was dry, a little gas in the carborator and simply to try and let things dry out. I did all of them, and the boat still wont start. Its cranking, but no pop, not even the smallest attempt of a turn. Could it be flooded? Could there be no spark? could it not be getting fuel? I just replaced an $800 fuel pump, so I think its getting fuel, but truly I have no idea? Any sugestions?

Also go ahead and pull the lanyard off and hook it back up, sometimes it could have been bumped just alittle

Its a 2001 larson 230 LXI. Where is the fuse located? And a lanyard switch, what is that arnd where can I find it? I pulled the spark plugs out and they are covered in gas. I am going to let them dry and change that fuse and hopefully find the lanyard switch. Any other sugestions, Thanks for the help

What is the FULL model number or the SN of your engine.

The boat is attempting to start but its not turning over

Turning over means the starter is spinning the engine round and round.
Starting means the engine runs or in the case of tries to start may mean it tries to start and fires for a bit then dies.

Now what is your problem.

If it is turning over with the start, did you check for spark?????
