Hello,
I have a 2005 Seaswirl striper 2101 with a Volvo Penta 5.0 I/O with only 100 hrs. The problems I'm having is when I power up in the water. If I'm on the trailer and power up I get enough power to blast into space!! (sounds GREAT). Starts right away, idles fine, however, when I'm in the water (salt or fresh, waves or flat) and I push the throttle down I can barely get over 10-15 mph as it bogs down....it almost feels like I'm pulling a barge or something. I called my service center and they said it sounds like it may have a carbon build up but would't it bog down while on the trailer as well if it was carbon?? I use only high grade fuel and put ethanol treatment in every time. I also recently put in new fuel pumps (replaced both).......any ideas??.....Thanks!!
