Engine Serial - 4012201091

manifold and risers were corroded so i sourced the same low manifold and risers and bolts from a local person parting out a boat. everything matched my existing hardware.

i also ordered 4 brand new bolts online from volvo based on my engine serial number and they also were the same exact bolts as what i aleady had in regards to thread pitch and length and bolt head style.

no bolt was ever longer or shorter than another

Question for people that have replaced risers or riser gaskets.

All eight bolts for both risers are the same length. However, the riser on the one side of the boat that has a bracket for the EFI computer and the oil filter relocation bracket.. they cause the bolts to be significantly shorter and catch less thread

I never noticed it when I removed them but now going to reinstall them. I don't love it
Are the bolts for that riser supposed to be longer to account for the extra thickness of the oil filter bracket and EFI bracket?

Can you tell how many threads are engaged on the bolts that are also holding the remote oil filter adapter? Maybe mark it with some paint just to see? I can see your concern. I have the same type of exhaust (OMC/Volvo) but it is aftermarket Barr. I have a remote oil filter housing that I got from Michigan Motorz but haven't installed it as of yet. The bracket is not cast alu like the Volvo OEM but a stamped steel one that is not as thick.
It may not be a significant issue because these bolts only get like 25 ft lbs of torque anyway.

check your old bolts again ,you wil find 2 that are longer to compensate for the efi mount or the oil filter mount
