Volvo Penta 4.3GL and SX Cobra outdrive service manuals

Hello Everyone Message:
I have a 1999 Four Winns with a Volvo Penta 4.3GL marine motor ser#TO1314037 and SX Corbra ser#TO826887. I’m looking for service manuals on both of these Volvo products. I have checked with Volvo but my products have fallen off their radar. I believe this was the transition years from OMC to Vovlo.
I just need to identify my motor and out drive with accuracy. I noticed some manuals were for a DP-2 model? Any other letters or numbers within a code to match the serial numbers up while search the web. I just want to make sure I identify the correct product when I purchase the manuals. Or how to you break the serial number code?
Any help would be appreciated from Volvo owners and experienced mechanics. Thank you in advance!

No I have not. But identify the correct model/outdrive type is my issue. How did you do that?

1999 should not be a Cobra drive (unless very old stock) it is more likely to be VP SX

In regards to the outdrive, I believe this was the transition years between OMC and Volvo. In the past I owned a 1987 OMC Cobra outdrive. Volvo must have kept the trademark. Thank you dypcdiver for the outdrive manual - do you know what years this manual supports?

No I have not. But identify the correct model/outdrive type is my issue. How did you do that?

I plugged in my serial numbers in here and it identified both my VP engines and SX-M outdrives. That is how I found out the -M designation. It's going to be a BY or a WT depending on what time of year the engine/drive was produced. Look for those two letters in your model number.

If it has Cobra markings, It will be a BY more than likely. BY was the last model year for the Cobra SX
