Hi all,
Just taken my boat out for the first time this year and have a bit of a problem with my idle (Penta 434a 4.3 V6 1993, 4bbl Holley), took boat out gave it a good run and slowed, took it out of gear and the boat was sitting around 200-350rpm on tickover and sounding lumpy, had my tools with me as it was the first run of the year so adjusted idle back to 750rpm as per manual, sounded great, went a quick blast slowed and was fine, slowed again and it was idling up at around 1100rpm?? Adjusted it back to 750rpm, ticking over fine then took it a spin and when I slowed it was back between 200-400rpm:mad-new:!!!!?? Seem to be chasing my tail. am I missing something obvious?
