volvo penta 4.3 gimble bearing

have a 4.3 volvo penta 2005 rinker 192, just wondered what sort of noise the gimble bearing makes when its on its way out,and if you can hear itwhen its in neutral as well as when its in drive?

TYP they makes the sound of a bad bearing, growl. If the boat is new to you I would pull drive and check it (and alignment and grease splines)
