Was replacing the spark plugs in my 3.0 volvo, 96 model. I went to volvopenta online to order new spark plug wires and they are available through dealer, then went to dealer and they cannot order them...what gives? i notice that these wires have some kind of fabric conductor instead of a metal conducter... i found that out when i when to pull a plug wire off a plug and the metal boot stuck to the plug and the wires were exposed... where can i get some plug wires? do they have to be marine specific? or will an auto wire work? im thinking the lack of ventillation our boat motors have may be a reason for the different plug wires? thanks for your guys insight in advance...

What was the part number of the set you wanted them to order?

It sounds like you have silicon wires, not copper ones. Most new vehicles use silicon ignition leads as they are better conductors.

i must of looked at something wrong, somehow on volvo's website, but i found u can order them on there...and did...35 bucks... little steep for a 4 cylinder set of wires....plus they ship SUPER slow.
