Good evening Iboat family,
I am having problems with a Volvo Penta 3.0 GL. I have only had the boat for 3 weeks. Water tested it before purchase, mechanic had to tap on the carb to keep it running. Once purchased I removed the carb and had it rebuilt by National Carberator. Re-installed the carb along with new plugs, water pump, impeller, distibutor cap & rotor. Started right up im my drive way and ran great, to it out that afternoon. Started right up ran great, stayed out for approx. 2 hours, shut off and started back up several times. Next day put it back in the water, started for about 5 seconds and has not started again since. Thought it may have flooded, pulled plugs (soaked) and dried them, pulled carb and let it air dry for an hour in the Florida sun. Still won't start. Checked the safety lanyard and have good spark (approx. 1 inch blue). I attempted to start it again today after sitting for over 24 hours. Turned over three times back fired (small) once and still wont start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
