Hi all.. 2008 Stingray 185ls.. 132 hours. Boat ran great last summer, however towards the end it started to have an issue. Started fine and ran fine at high rpm, but at idle, if you pushed throttle down it would choke a little bit. If you eased it to higher rpm it was ok. Started it throughout the winter (in SC so didn't fully winterize as it doesn't get all that cold for long here) but now it won't start at all. Replaced fuel filter in fuel line. Had minor debris in it, nothing terrible. Think it's a carb issue? This is my first boat, so I'm hesitant to let anyone touch it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you may have dirt/water in the carb.
Once you get the problem solved, I would strongly suggest you install a water separating fuel filter kit between the tank and the fuel pump. The 3.0L are the only engines that don't come with them as standard equipment.

Don,

You seem fairly knowledgeable, what would you suggest I do to correctly diagnose the problem? I'm of the mindset that I can't stand to pay someone to do something I could do myself. Is this something a newer boat owner could tackle? I'm fairly comfortable around an engine, just never any marine stuff. And again, this is my first boat and would rather not have anybody mess with it. Thanks in advance for your help.
