Hi all,

Noticed that when servicing the engine the belt is not sitting on the idler pulley - I've had this all apart and put back together, but I cannot remember if this is correct.

Is there anything missing, pic and video attached.

This could be nothing to worry about except for advanced belt wear.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Needs to be more centered IMO
Is the bolt long enough to place a washer behind it, or maybe on the bracket?

I think what's happened is I've put the washer in front of the bolt and it should be behind?

Hopefully that should bring this out by 2-3mm possible.

This would make sense as there is a bearing inside the pulley, I hope...

Thanks

the one pic looks like your idler spacer is mounted wrong. the grease coming out of the idler is an indication it is going south.

Is that grease, hard to tell? Think it might be a washer.

Thanks for your thoughts - this was only a 5-minute start-up on putting everything back together, so might have got that wrong.

Thanks
