Volvo penta 280 turns to right

I recently bought an 1977 27 ft Bayliner with a fly bridge. This problem occurs from either helm. Sometimes when I drive the boat at any speed, the boat will turn hard to the right and become stuck to the right. Does anyone know if there is a specific area that needs to be greased or adjusted? Any help with this problem would be appreciated. Thanks

Let me get this straight. You're cruising along and all is well when, at any speed, the boat will turn hard right and be stuck? Otherwise the boat performs normally?

Does your boat have power steering?
