Before you bolt on parts, Make sure the engine is all there, RPM, compression and fuel.......

The motor was just rebuilt and I just did a compression check and everything is good.
So, what options do I have in upgrades on the motor???

Thanks

You could upgrade to vortec heads, you'd need to change the intake manifold as well. that would gain you 30 HP. I assume you already have a 4 barrel carb.

I don't know anything about Nos, supercharger, etc. May as well buy a different boat.

With that hull more HP will not translate to much more speed. It is not like a car where the rolling resistance is not a limiting factor your hull limits your max speed by the amount of drag you create with contact with the water. All you will accomplish is spending a lot of mony so that you can burn a lot more fuel.

Ayuh,... You've got your Cart ahead of your Horse,....
You should have been asking that question Before it was rebuilt,...
Unless you're planning to do it Again...

I was going to say that, should have had it stroked when it was rebuilt.

What type of vortec heads? (Cast, Steel, Aluminum) I curently have 1988 heads with pressed in studs.
Can I run Aluminum Heads? I have an heat exchanger running coolant.
Also, I have a set of 1963 camel hump 2 heads with 202-196 valves rebuilt sitting on my race motor never used with all of the goodies. I know I will have to change the springs.
With the stock cam can I change the rocker duration (it just give me more lift without changing the cam duration)? Or is that a no-no...

Thanks
