Volvo-Penta 270 outdrive boat

I was wondering if anyone can offer some insight on a Volvo-Penta with 270 outdrive. As in how reliable this engine and drive combo is/was. Only thing i know about Volvo penta is they bought out OMC, which seems to be a not great outdrive.

the 270 is the the outdrive. Depending on the previous mainanence, they can be very reliable. Keep in mind, its still 25 years.
