at low speeds my engine wants to die, I'm not talking about the warm up period, after say 3 hours on the water, when I'm going say 5 mph in the no wake zone, I hear and feel it going to die, I give it some gas and it's ok, I just got a new prop, don't have enough experiance to tell if it was from that, before I got the prop only went out 1 other time,

Water in the fuel, filters need changing, tuneup needed, carb out of adjustment because it needs a tuneup.
Lots of standard ole preventive maintenance needs taken care of if you want it to run properly.

thanks for the advise, I did change the fuel filter, and oil filter, I was looking through my repair manual, and it looks like their is another inline fuel filter next to the carb. I don't know the exact model and the book has 4 different models, and ranges 1968-1991. The one I changed looked like the oil filter about the same size and shape, The one in the book, shows one in a hose.

Also how can I find out about if water is in the fuel? Thanks again everybody. for all the help and advise.
