volvo overheats idling after cruising

I have a 31' twin 5.0 gxi-c volvos After half hour of cruising then pull back to idle After idling 2 min. temp start to go up.Rev. motors to 1200 temp goes back down.Will not overheat any more at idle.Replaced thermostats/impellers/
circ.pumps all volvo parts double cheched all part #s.Found air in system at cruise from pump to thermo housing.Have 7-10 psi after pump in water system at 3200rpm.

when you say over heat do you mean really hot or just a little hotter.My mercruiser does the same.This is due to heat build up when you are working the engine then suddenly going to idle and reducing the abillity to cool the engine quickly.when you go to 12oo revs this pumps round cool water faster.I am sure there is no problem as it does cool eventually.

Motor temp. go to 190 deg. +alarm goes 0ff. After alarm sounds put in neut.
rev. to 1200.
