Volvo Out drive Question

Hello i need help .
I have a 24 foot skip jack boat i use for salt water fishing.
I have a Volvo 350 engine with a Single prop 280 leg with a gear ratio of 1.6:1.
My question is i Have a chance to get a 280 Dual Prop leg at a great deal but it has a gear ratio of 2.3:1

Would this gear ratio work with my engine
Right now the boat has great speed I can only take it to about 3200 rpm before the boat starts leaning to one side and it is moving fast.And that is not open throttle
Also I think I troll between 1600 to 1800 rpm cant remember right now

You need a 1.95,
The 2.3 is for a V6
